Using Cambridge English kahoots in online teaching and learning

Help young learners practise skills and language at home or in online lessons with Cambridge English kahoots.

Games can do more than just entice and reward learners – if they’re well designed they can create excitement and flow. They can distract learners from stress or anxiety, and making them more open to learning. Playing games can lead to increased levels of intrinsic motivation in the learning environment.

These Cambridge English kahoots for young learners are designed to help learners to explore, practise and review language and reading skills at Pre A1, A1 and A2 levels. As your learners play you can see immediately which areas need more work. Because the games are intrinsically fun to play, you can always repeat them, either in class or as an independent learning challenge, to help learners reach mastery of the language content.

Of course, young learners are at different stages in their overall development, in their language learning and in their exposure to digital learning – they may react in different ways to game-based activities. Think carefully about whether they would benefit from peer support by playing in a team, or whether they would enjoy the challenge of playing against each other as individuals.

Here are some ideas for integrating Kahoot! games into English language learning contexts:
